Systems Engineer III
Duration: 6 Months
Location: Chevy Chase, MD
Team Function:Microsoft Operational Infrastructure Operations
Description of Work or Project:
These positions will provide support to the MOI application deployment and release processes, and provide first-line,
Incident response coverage and triage of services, systems and applications.
These positions will also play a key role in account administration, release management, and response to and resolution of operational incidents.
Requirements:
•2+ years Systems Operations background (deployment, release, maintenance) experience
•2+ years Scripting background experience (WMI or PowerShell preferred)
•Experience with Microsoft System Center Suite (SCOM and SCCM preferred)
•Experience supporting, troubleshooting, and configuring Windows Server (and applications hosted on Windows Server)
•Experience supporting Microsoft Active Directory
•Strong analysis skills for problem solving as well as for creation of project artifacts
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Proven ability to learn and understand new business systems and detailed business processes.
•Candidate must be self-motivated, work independently, and yet function as an integral part of a team.
Desired Qualifications:
•Experience with VMware and Hyper-V
•Experience with IIS 6.5 and 7.0
•Experience with SQL Server 2005/8
•Experience working with Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server Administration
•Experience with MS Build and Team Foundation Build
•Experience with .NET programming (C# 4.0, WCF preferred)
•Experience working with Windows Workflows and SharePoint Workflows
•ITSM expertise (ITIL v3 Certified or MOF 4.0 Certified)
•MCSE Certification a plus
