Info Post

Position:          Oracle R12 Software Technical Analyst

Duration:         4.5 Months, with extension likely (based on performance)

Location:         Atlanta, GA   (midtown)

The current project is already in progress and is well established with a migration strategy.  Several companies existing on platforms, other than Oracle, have already been migrated onto the Oracle R12 platform. The existing team is currently planning the final migration of many companies of the business, currently on Oracle 11i, to Oracle R12.  Because the Business needed to make many changes with the Oracle configurations, a migration strategy was elected as the path to be most successful vs. an Upgrade path. While making this decision, several interfaces were also designed and developed and are currently in place with the R12 applications and the companies migrated.  As the existing 11i companies are migrated, the existing Interfaces will need more attention for changes and extensive testing and regression testing.

The individual(s) selected to join the team must be able to take direction from the current team members to assist and or take over responsibilities, in order to keep the project on track to meeting goals and deadlines. However, recommendations in ways to be more efficient and better at what the team is doing would be well received for the current work. The individual(s) should also be an independent self starter who can provide support to the project team for the specific modules in Production as well as work with the user environment.

-          Applications currently in production; GL, AR, CE, Inv, AP, PO.

-          The following applications may be implemented in near future: Receivables Manager, Concur, FA and Projects.

Individual will need experience with building Oracle Work Flows  (AME) for Oracle Purchasing and possibly General ledger.

Complete all technical development tasks for any forms or reports as required by the technical or functional user community using Discoverer.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum 2 years  experience with Oracle Applications R12, including functions/features, configuration, development, security and supporting the GL, AP, PO, AR, FA, and T&E modules.

2. Minimum 2 years of experience with PL/SQL, Oracle Workflow (AME), Discoverer, Oracle Reports, Oracle Forms, Development of Concurrent Programs, XML Publisher, Workflow, and Unix Shell scripting.

3. Must have strong background in development of interfaces into and from Oracle R12 environment (specific knowledge of API's for all modules)

4. Must have banking experience (see below- summary!)

SUMMARY of Must-Haves:

The key skills we are looking for out of the description above are as follows:

·         banking  (specifically working with banks to set up interfaces, etc)

·         understanding of ZBA (zero base)

·         workflow (AME) for GL and Purchasing

·         XML publisher and reports writing using Discoverer.

This is a techno/functional need, so we need people with developer and analyst skills.

The most pressing skills to have are Oracle Work Flows and Oracle Purchasing and strong reporting skills.       MUST HAVE R12
