General Information General Information   Job Description: Specializes in Java- Has experience in the development, maintenance, and testing of software programs. Responsibilities include Coding, testing, and debugging application programs from functional specifications. These individuals will work from program specifications or prototypes * Works under the direction of a team leader, senior technical person or analyst. (5+ years) - A Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering or equivalent work experience. - A minimum of five years of software development experience in large scale distributed environment. - Candidate must have detailed understanding of all aspects of SDLC and Object Oriented (OO) technologies, design practices, and implementation approaches. A proven track record is a must. - Able to think strategically and be innovative. - Experience with an APM(Application performance Management) tool like Wily is required. - Ability to review and analyze thread/heap dumps - Ability to identify bottlenecks in application infrastructure and development processes and come up with feasible solutions. - Ability to evaluate loadtest results and do a deep dive analysis to isolate/resolve the issue. - Provide easy to understand performance metrics to management. - Must be an advanced Linux/Unix user - Ability to review current usage of the existing application infrastructure and provide feedback for any additional growth. - Proven development experience in a large scale J2EE-based system. - Experience and knowledge of JSF, JSF lifecycle, Spring Framework, Hibernate, JavaScript, Ajax and Web Services is required. - Familiarity with the J2EE container internals and specifications. Familiar with either JBOSS, Oracle-Weblogic, Tomcat, Glassfish is highly desirable. - Familiarity Maven and Perforce is desirable. - Familiarity with Oracle and Linux is desirable. - Proven experience in providing production support for mission critical applications. - Experienced in managing cross-functional projects that span multiple teams and departments. - Ability to collaborate and work closely with the development teams to improve, develop, recommend and/or refine existing methodologies and frameworks that ultimately enables the development team to be more productive - Have proven experience in providing production support for mission critical applications. - The position includes triaging/tracking issues, providing solutions to resolve defects and production support activities.
