The PC Applications Support Developer will support and maintain existing and newly implemented PC and WEB based applications. This position is for a senior level experienced developer who has experience with and is comfortable correcting existing code, and adding new enhancements. The selected person will be part of the Production Support team that supports all MassDOT application systems.  The developer is expected to provide resolution to trouble tickets, satisfy ad-hoc requests and perform bug analysis and bug resolution quickly.

 

General Qualifications (Listed in order of importance):

• Strong problem research and analysis skills

• Ability to work individually or within a team

• Troubleshoot issues, identify and implement resolutions and work with technical and business staff to ensure timely deployment

• Complete assigned tasks in an organized and efficient manner.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills 

• Ability to multitask and work in an environment of rapidly changing priorities

Technical Qualifications (Listed in order of importance):

 

• ASP.Net 2003/2005/2008

• VB.Net 2003/2005/2008

• WCF

• Web Services

• Oracle (9i/10g/11g) 

• XML

• JavaScript

• Crystal Reports

• Microsoft operating systems

Experience with the following considered a plus

• VB5.0/6.0

• VSS

• Haley's or OPA

• Rules Based applications
