Role Overview: 

 

Java Application Support developer for a client that is a global leader in voice and data mediation solutions to the Telecommunications Industry. They are seeking bright, energetic and motivated individuals to provide technical support services to thier customers. This client's rapid growth has necessitated the need to open an Americas Customer Support Center in the Alpharetta, Georgia area. In the Mediation Support Analyst position, you will be providing time-sensitive, direct, front-line technical support to customers who use this client's voice and data mediation product. This position works closely with customers to determine the root cause of issues, provide solutions when possible and liaise with the product development teams for issues that cannot be resolved by front-line support and need to be escalated. Additionally, you will provide non-critical support to customers for their normal maintenance activities (e.g., upgrades, etc.). The selected candidate will be provided all the necessary training. Initial, hands-on experience with the product will be gained via a product implementation in the Atlanta, Georgia area. Because customer issues and outages have direct impact on the production operations of customers, this position requires individuals who can work and communicate effectively in a dynamic, fast paced environment. Desired Skills & Experience - College Degree in a computing related field. - Unix or Linux operating system experience - 2 + years programming experience (java preferred). - Experience with scripting languages such as TCL, Perl, Python or other similar languages. - Previous technical customer support experience a strong plus. - Ability to demonstrate strong analytical and trouble-shooting skills. - Ability to communicate complex concepts and process steps in a pleasant, easy to understand manner. - Telecom experience with billing and mediation systems would be beneficial. - Preference given to Atlanta area based applicants Company Description The client company is the leading provider of data mediation solutions to the Telecommunications Industry.
