Iris's client, one of the leader's of innovative protection in the food and beverage industry company is looking to hire a strong Silverlight / WPF Developer for a Long Term Contract opportunity in Rock Island, IL.
Our client is a is a private company categorized under Fire, Marine and Casualty Insurance and Carriers.
Job Description
1. Developing, testing, and implementing changes to the new internal application from technical specifications using:
• Microsoft Visual Studio (C#)
• Middle Tier
• Web services using SOAP and REST services
• Front-End
• Asynchronous development for the Model and View/Model of Silverlight
• Microsoft Silverlight 5.0 / WPF
• Design and development of the new Front-End for IDMS
• SAP Crystal Reports
• The current reports will be migrated from Oracle Reports to Crystal Reports
• Microsoft Team Systems
• The source code at ICC is stored and controlled by Team Systems. Branching techniques will be used to work on multiple changes at the same time.
• Oracle PL/SQL
• Back-End
• Move code from Oracle Forms to packages (stored procedures and functions) in the backend
2. Generating and maintaining user and system documentation to describe internally developed application software additions, changes, and enhancements and or packaged software solutions
• Technical documentation will be created based on the changes made to the system
3. Performing complete testing of applications, conducting user acceptance testing and reporting results
• The developer will perform basic testing before the changes are turned over to the Quality Testing department. The developer will also coordinate with the tester to ensure the changes comply with ICC standards and perform the required functionality
4. Designing and developing user-driven templates, databases, and interfaces for ease of use
• The developer may also need to create templates or interfaces to exchange information between users or other systems and IDMS.
5. Providing user support through problem resolution by analyzing, researching, and providing corrective action for all assigned problems and/or enhancements
6. Participating in dynamic priority setting sessions with the IT team
• This project is controlled by a PMO (Project Management Office),a nd regular meeting are held within the Application Development Department to review and control the course of the project.
