MSI Packaging Engineer

Location: Hartford, CT

Duration: 6 months

 

Job Description: Mandatory skills

•    Perform Install, Launch and runtime testing of application before and after MSI packaging for Windows 7 platform

•    Identify issues in MSI packages and communicate to Microsoft factory

•    Document parameters requirement for MSI package

•    Coordinate with IT Business and Technology teams to resolve issues in MSI packages

 

 Job Description: Good-to-have skills

1. Excellent knowledge in Windows Installer Service (.MSI Technology)

2. Knowledge on packaging tools such as Flexara\Wise packaging Studio.

3. Understanding of registries, .dlls, .ini and log files

4. Good knowledge on Windows 7

5. Good analytic and decision making capability

6. Excellent understanding of application install/uninstall/reinstall process

7. Good documentation skills

 

This role does need packaging experience as Mandatory requirement.
