Position: QA tester
Duration: 6 months+
Location: Chicago, IL
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Experience with Robot and other automation tools
- Develops, publishes, and implements test plans
- Writes and maintains test automation
- Develops quality assurance standards
- Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires a bachelor's degree
- At least 5 years of experience testing in C, C++, Java
- Must have a working knowledge of quality assurance methodologies
- Familiar with NT, UNIX and/or Solaris environments
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Performs a variety of tasks
- May lead and direct the work of others
- Works under general supervision; typically reports to a manager
- A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
- Practical experience with a variety of vendor and open source tools (ie.,Robot, UISpec4j, BPM)
Role: This person will be an active member of the Map Integration Team. The team works in an agile environment (methodology) to validate that project software and bug fixes implemented by Map development teams integrates properly and can be deployed to Production to support production processes and products. The candidate should have the ability to write scripts and implement test cases using third part tools like QTP, Robot and UISpec4j, as well as have experience with/be willing to learn workflow tools like Ant-Hill-Pro or BPM.
