Position: Sr.QA tester
Location: Chicago,IL
Duration: 6+ months
JOB DESCRIPTIION:
The Test Engineer is responsible for the following:
- Play an active role in an agile team while writing and executing automated and manual tests
- Report significant defects to the team and test defects fixes
- Analyze test results and analyze defects prior to escalating to the development team for resolution
- Work closely with the development team to develop automated and manual testing strategies
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of experience in a quality assurance team environment
- Understanding of Agile Methodology and other software development methodologies
- Software Development background is desirable
- Experience with test automation frameworks
- Experience testing 3D applications is a plus
- Experience in creating and maintaining automation tests
- Must not need supervision; should be a self-starter
- Must possess a willingness and aptitude to embrace new ideas and master concepts rapidly
- Strong organizational and problem solving abilities
- Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
- Agile Development 2 - 4 years
- Automation testing – 3- 5 years
- Selenium automation – 1 year
- Web Services testing - basic knowledge
- Performance testing - basic knowledge
- C# - 1 - 2 years (nice to have )
- Java 1 - 2 years ( nice to have )
- Oracle 2 - 4 years
- SQL: 6 + years
- XML
- A tester with software development background is a plus
- Must have experience implementing and maintaining automated scripts in both, commercial and non-commercial tools
- Solid understanding of testing methodologies and process is mandatory
