The att.com eCommerce organization supports web sales & service across AT&T products and is an area of strategic focus for AT&T. Our eCommerce Analytics Platforms team develops a set of reporting & analysis tools that support the business teams with leading edge business intelligence capabilities. The primary responsibility of the team is to develop & sustain our eDM datamart that is heavily used to track various data including clickstream, order, fulfillment and subscriber metrics for att.com. The group uses SAP Business Objects (BO) XI R3 (moving to BI 4).
The successful candidate will play a critical role on the team by acting in many functions to support the Business Objects users. The candidate with interface with business clients and the Analytics Platforms technical team.
Functions include:
• Work with business users to determine improved Business Objects reporting solutions, and assist users in building static and interactive Web Intelligence reports and Dashboards.
• Develop and deliver training programs for users in Business Objects report creation and in new tools.
• With users, define universe changes which will improve usability of the Business Objects solutions. Work with super users, and provide training and technical support as needed.
• Provide on-call support 24-7 approximately one week per month. NPW will be paid for time worked if called upon during that week.
• Monitor and respond to user requests for assistance of various kinds.
• Create trouble tickets and follow up with ETL support as appropriate.
• Work with users, Project Managers, and ETL developers to design and implement new subject areas in the appropriate BO universe.
Background Requirements:
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills with developers, managers, functional users, and executives
• Must have interest in business functions and ability to assist Business Analysts in report and dashboard design and development, understanding the problem at hand, discussing the data, and alternative approaches, then coming to recommendations for solution.
• Minimum 5 years experience with SAP Business Objects, BI 4.0 and Dashboards/Xcelsius desired.
• Minimum 3 years data warehousing experience including data modeling, ETL practices and querying RDBMS using sql
• Must have relevant reporting/analysis experience in the Sales, Marketing or Finance fields.
• Expertise with SQL required (Ansi-92 sql preferred) including query tools such as Toad or Queryman.
• Must have the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Must possess working knowledge of Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Excel
• Must be self-motivated and strong desire to learn and excel
• Must have bachelors degree or higher in computer science or related discipline.
• Previous industry experience in eCommerce highly desired while industry experience in Cellular/Wireless nice to have
