Java/JEE Lead
This position is part of a software development team designing and developing mission critical large-scale, high-availability, multi-tier, transactional, enterprise systems. Seeking a qualified Java/JEE developer with a broad knowledge of software engineering concepts, technologies, methodologies, and practices. The successful candidate will have experience working on large data-driven JEE applications.
Functional Description:
• Analyze, design, plan, implement and unit test functions, modules, and components in mission critical enterprise systems
• Works collaboratively with other members of the project team and the project manager to ensure timely delivery of high quality delivery enterprise applications
• Plan and estimate development work needed to implement assigned tasks
• Perform detailed application design as appropriate for assigned tasks
• Transform complex requirements into working, maintainable enterprise-level solutions
• Author and maintain design and technical documentation necessary to maintain and support the application
• As needed, assist and make appropriate changes to application code needed to solve customer problems
• Provide necessary support to other team members as required to help deliver high quality systems on schedule
Education and Typical Years Experience
• BS degree or higher
Lead team of 3 or more developers
• 5 years experience Java and JEE programming
• 2+ years interfacing with RDMS systems through Java objects
• Strong knowledge of RDMS programming with SQL
• Strong knowledge and experience with Web Services and XML interfaces
• Experience working in distributed development environments
• Strong experience with Linux environment and shell scripting
• Strong experience with application servers, such as JBoss, WebSphere
• Excellent communication skills, ability to work effectively
