Job Title:  SAS Programmer (FINANCIAL)

Duration: 7 Months Contract

Location: Wilmington, DE

Pay Rate: $55/hr on C2C

 

Job Description:

 

Looking for an SAS Programmer for a contract position with one of our leading Insurance Clients in Wilmington, DE Candidates MUST have a Financial and/or Insurance Background Client Requires a F2F Interview so candidates should be local to DE (DE, PA, NJ, MD, NY).


REQUIRED SKILLS:
-Bachelors degree in IT/MIS with a minimum of 5 years progressive experience in Information Technology (mainframe, mid-range, Intel platform) is preferred.
-A proficient level of knowledge and experience with SAS programming is critical.
-A proficient level of knowledge and experience with scripting is required. (Microsoft Power Shell experience is a plus)
-Basic understanding of client/server infrastructure, HPC Grid computing desirable.
-Basic skills in the handling of multiple file types, such as EBCIDIC and ASCII file types.
-Basic knowledge and understanding of ETL (extract, transformation and load techniques).
-Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite of applications and possess the capability of producing professional-looking documentation, flowcharts, and proposals.
-Basic understanding of international actuarial valuation processing and knowledge of various life insurance products is preferred.
-Strong analytical background is required.
-Knowledge of Change Control methodologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Must be capable of modifying or enhancing applications in accordance with business requirements in a time frame appropriate to meet the needs of a Production environment.
-Document all modifications, enhancements and analysis.
-Review and evaluate business specifications to determine their feasibility, implementation time, and compatibility with current systems and architecture standards.
-Analyze functional problems and make recommendations for enhancements or modifications to deliver solutions.
-Maintain a high level of customer service with internal customers.
