QA Test Lead
Location: Cambridge, MA (Face to Face required after telephonic)
Duration: 6 months
Candidates will be responsible for planning and driving tests projects for Virtual Assistant application across a wide range of cell phone platforms, operating systems and their corresponding carriers. This QA role is expected to participate throughout the entire Software Development Lifecycle from requirements review through final acceptance testing.
Required Skills
At least five years of experience as a Test Lead
Strong knowledge writing SQL queries
Strong knowledge working in a UNIX and/or Linux environments
Some experience with scripting languages like Perl, Python to design and build test tools
Experience working in an Iterative or Agile SCRUM SDLC methodology
Experience working in small to midsized product development companies
Experience in installations, retrieval of source code from source control systems and troubleshooting down to the application layer
Understanding of N-Tier Architecture
Ability to think through and document multiple (potential) test scenarios with their corresponding test cases
Nice to Haves:
Experience testing mobile devices
Experience with tools such as JIRA and performance testing with JMeter
Experience testing at the API level
Soft Skills:
Ability to work in a dynamic environment
Ability to reach out and find dependent information
Ability to negotiate project requirements with project management and development
Must be a Self Starter
Excellent communication skills (Test plan development, status, project test metrics, test case development, defect submission and ability to articulate issues to the project team)
