Position: Sr. QA Tester

Duration: 6+ Months
I have this Sr. QA Tester position open as well. Need SQL and PL/SQL experience. They have to have strong Automation testing experience with QTP and able to create complex SQL Queries. Also they use UNIX so someone with little UNIX experience will not work. Have to have scripting in UNIX.
I wanted to let you know, internally we have solved the Load/Testing performance gap I spoke of our call on Monday with the vendors. Therefore, the requirement of "expert performance test experience" being extremely important should be changed to "understanding of performance test practices and techniques".
Requirements:
1. Strong automation experience
2. Performance/load test experience
3. Frontend & Backend test experience
4. SQL and PL/SQL experience
5. Agile Scrum (non-directed environment)
6. Excellent communication skills
7. Independent worker, with strong testing mindset
8. Previous SOA test experience
9. Working knowledge of all test types

This position is for a Sr. Engineer (Test) within our delivery teams, responsible for participating in all stages of the software development lifecycle in an Agile/Lean environment. Using current methods, technologies and tools to perform testing of applications. Interact with product management and users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications and assist with systems integration. The successful candidate will have the ability to work in a highly collaborative manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Collaborates with Product Management and development team to ensure user stories are created and estimated
• Works closely with development team to identify and resolve issues
• Test design and review
• Investigation and root cause analysis of software and system defects
• Maintain and run tools and processes that support and automate software product release
• Understand the technical aspects of the products used to support the configuration management activities of the development process
• Create and execute approved test plans and analyzes and report results for all test (needed) types (i.e., functional, system, performance, usability, regression, release verification)
• Decompose requirements for testability and provide feedback to the requirement gathering process
• Interact with product management and customers/users to support software acceptance process and act as a liaison between development and user community
• Test case execution, results analysis, defect detection and test results summarization (test reporting)
• Follow department quality assurance guidelines and processes.
• Plan, execute & document load and performance testing
• Automate functional and regression scripts
REQUIREMENTS:
• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Management Information Systems
• 3-5+ years software development life cycle technical experience as tester required
• Experience with Oracle10 & Oracle11
• Proficient oral and written communication skills
• Must be a team-player with the ability to work within a collaborative environment
• Creative, resourceful and innovative problem solver
• Self-taught and self-teaching, with a demonstrated aptitude for acquiring knowledge and skills
• Knowledge of processes and procedures required to perform quality assurance testing
• Ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects with aggressive schedules
• Expert in all test phases including – Integration, functional, system, performance, regression, platform compatibility, etc.
• Creative problem solving skills are required together with the ability to standardize processes and procedures.
• Organized, dedicated to maintaining meticulous records and possess strong communication skills
• Working knowledge of Web Services and XML, SOAP, REST, WSDL standards.
• Experience with test tools like SoapUI, RESTClient, Selenium, firebug etc
• Working knowledge of Web Applications
• Working experience with AJAX , JS (Java scripts)
• Working experience with DB scripts / SQL. PL/SQL knowledge
• Expert Experience in Testing Methodology/ Test Types
• Working knowledge of Linux (RedHat) and Unix (Solaris).
• Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Advanced ability to work effectively both independently and with others
• Ability to propose and align prioritization of testing tasks based on project risks; document limitation of scope and align resulting project risks with project manager
