Our Client has need for Datawarehouse Engineers: (ETL, Perl/Python) in Palo Alto CA for 6 months +
Client is looking for smart engineers to join the data platform infrastructure team. The candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation and support of the Enterprise Data Warehouse. Candidate will work closely with business users and data analysts to design and implement data integration flows into the enterprise warehouse.
Requirements:
5+ years of End-to-End knowledge of Data warehousing and BI systems(includes data modeling, ETL architectures and OLAP).
Experience with parallel processing and architectures
Ability to quickly understand business requirements and transform them into data models.
Experience working with ETL in multi-terabyte data warehouses.
Experience in dealing with performance and scaling issues.
Strong database (MySQL, Vertica etc) and SQL skills.
Expertise in scripting languages like perl/python/bash.
Knowledgeable in Java/C++.
Expertise in job scheduling(custom and open source), data quality, metadata management and monitoring systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
