Position:  AVAMAR  Administrator

Location: Framingham, MA

Duration: 3-6 Months

 

Purpose: Strong AVAMAR backup Administrator

looking to further integrate Avamar to Data Domain – leveraging Control-M

for scheduling automation.

 

We positioned a resident to come in and help with the stabilization efforts –with guidance

towards operational control moving forward.

The expectation would be that the resident possess STRONG knowledge transfer skills,

operational management experience, and runbook/process development skills.

 

 

1)      Deep knowledge of Avamar CLI for Control M and HP Openview integration

2)      Healthcheck – get baseline for current deployment and figure out what needs attention

3)      Scripting

4)      Best practices – Avamar Administration

5)      Avamar to Data Domain  best practices

6)      Avamar Tape out – how/ what process/ what data

7)      Make sure data types to Avamar are appropriate

8)      Leadership – solid technical resource that can also lead backup transformation

 

 

We are looking for someone that is an Avamar stud –with experience at the mccli level.

•       Strong experience in backing up VM environments

•       Knowledge of Data Domain is a use PLUS

•       Knowledge of Control-M is a nice-to-have

Tasks:  Backup/Restore Operations, Best Practices KT, Runbook Design & Dev,
