DB2 DBA

Location: Chicago, IL

Duration: 6 Months+

 

Perform database administration tasks using IBM's DB2 on Unix.  Responsible for physical DB2 databases for the project; design and implement backup, recovery, archiving and conversion database strategies; manage and maintain data in production and test databases; ensure efficient and reliable database performance; monitors database performance; tunes database(s) as needed.

 

·         Knowledge of DB2 Version 9 for AIX Operating System. 

·         Experience with IBM DB2's HADR (High Availability Disaster Recovery). 

·         Knowledge with IBM's Change Data Capture replication
