Position: C++ Programmer(1675)
Location: New York, NY
Duration: Long Term Contract
Description: Programmer/analyst with a degree in Computer Science or equivalent, Masters degree a plus. Work with a team developing low latency high volume market data applications. Participate in original design and development, coding/testing, QA- and production-support. Must be able to work to a deadline, take ownership of broadly defined tasks and bring them to completion in a team-oriented environment with minimal direct supervision. This team is developing market data delivery software that will be standard throughout the enterprise, running in many securities exchanges.
Candidates must possess the following experience/skills:
- Around 5 years experience in similar role programming in C++/Unix/Linux
- Perl/shell scripting
- Code/debug low latency high volume market data applications
- Good communication/teamwork skills
- Iterative programming style
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent, Masters degree a plus
