Description:
We are seeking highly experienced and motivated senior Business Objects universe/report developers as part of our Enterprise Business Intelligence initiative. The EBI project is a comprehensive data warehouse and business intelligence initiative to help establish enterprise wide cross-team reporting and analytics platform. The initiative seeks to bring org wide data into an enterprise data warehouse and build reports/analytics on subject area data marts. The individual(s) will join a highly dedicated team of BI professionals to develop solutions that meet business needs and stringent quality requirements within aggressive deadlines.
Required Competencies:
- · Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science or related business field, or equivalent experience
- · Experience in at least 3-4 multiple full life cycles of Business Objects implementations
- · 8+ years' experience in Business Objects, Webi, Deski, Universe Design, strong in SQL, strong analytical skills, SDLC etc
- · 8-10 years of experience in BI / Business Objects XI R2 / XI3 implementations, from end-to-end of the life cycle, starting with the requirements and through the fielding of the system
- · Must have strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving abilities in a data warehouse environment
- · Must have the ability to work collaborate in the BI team sometimes with minimal supervision
- · Must have experience working on multiple, overlapping projects
- · Work cooperatively with other IT specialists, developers, business analysts, DBA's, ETL specialists, end users, and other resources as required
- · Must have the ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines
- · 7+ year's technical expertise in Business Objects XI2 and XI3, utilizing the full BI Suite for Development.
- · Prior experience and extensive expertise in Universe Design, WebIntelligence, Crystal Reports, Xcelsius & VBA development
- · Expertise in SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres, universe schemas
- · Expertise in data validation, data analysis & data testing
- · Certifications and/or advanced training in Business Objects. Must be of a recent nature
- · Expertise in the techniques, tips, tricks involving BI/DW design, development, testing, fielding, and troubleshooting. Must have to work extensively in a star schema, OLTP, Data Warehouse reporting model
- · Adhere to development methodology, standards and naming conventions and best practices
- · Complete project related documentation (naming standards, technical specifications, test plans etc.) during the different stages of the project as required
