Position: Financial Applications Analyst 

Location: Hopkinton, MA

Duration: 1 Year



Job Description:
We are a highly visible group, which provides revenue and margin reporting and analysis to the executive office and senior management. In addition, we support all internal organizations such as Finance, Marketing, Engineering, Sales Operations and the Business Management Teams (BMT) with revenue and margin information and ad-hoc analysis. 

The applications analyst position requires highly motivated individual with very strong technical, business, analytical and presentation skills, ability to handle multiple and competing priorities and work cross-functionally. Candidate must be a self starter requiring minimal supervision; customer oriented and has sense of urgency and strong interpersonal skills. 
Responsibilities 
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: 
Work with the IT, Finance, Sales and Marketing organizations on development and implementation of reporting system enhancements and fixes. 
Accurately translating business requirements into system functional requirements High aptitude for interpreting technical documentation as well as authoring or updating documents as needed 
Good understanding of database concepts and experience with SQL Navigator/ TOAD and MS Access database tools 
Evaluate and articulate proposed business requirements and identify impact, risks, and benefits of alternative solutions. 
Investigate complex problems in production environments and suggest solutions to resolve them. 
Exceptional analysis and problem solving skills 
Provide training and documentation for users on reporting system functionality. 
Critically review existing business processes with relation to revenue and margin reporting and data and process integrity and make recommendations for improvement. 
Reconcile data between reporting systems and explain variances. 
Write test scripts and validate the data using MS Access, OBIEE, and Oracle SQL tools to support new ERP system implementation 

Experience and Education 
Education: Bachelors (Tech) or equivalent; Business or Technical area with a MIS concentration is preferred. 
Work experience: 3 - 10 years as a business or systems analyst. 
Technical skills Required: 
Microsoft Office products (MS Excel, MS Access, PowerPoint) -- high required 
Data Warehouse C Need to have concepts of DataMarts, tables, and views experience with extracting data from Oracle databases using tools Toad/SQL Navigator/MS Access 
Oracle OBIEE CExperience with Answers, Dashboards, and how to create queries 
skills good to have: 
SAP C knowledge on different modules, and Business Objects reporting 
Essbase C Reporting experience as a user 
Testing C Experience on testing is preferable 

 

Other: product and process knowledge is desirable. Prior experience with consulting or project involvement is preferred

 

Position # 2



Position: Financial Applications Analyst 

Location: Southborough, MA

Duration: 10 Months

 

 

Need very strong Project/Program Manager for the SFDC Renewal Inside Sales project. 
- Highly visible and critical project needs a well seasoned PM with SFDC experience 
- The team size is approx. 20 FT resources (at peak), inclusive of BTG consultants, SDG BSAs, Developers and testers 
- There will be many moving parts and a lot of dependencies and/or resource contention with other SFDC initiatives. 
- Candidate must be experienced and have a way of getting things done that immediately comes thru in an interview. 

Strong preference for local and immediately available candidates

Position # 3



Position: Senior Business Systems Analyst

Location: Southborough, MA

Duration: 6 Months

 


Required skills: 

- keen data analysis skills
-Understand data from source systems. 
-Gather the detail requirements of data use. 
-Work with data source subject matter experts to gather information about the data. 
-Write SQL queries to facilitate analysis and build out data flows. 
-Write functional designs, including "as-is" and "to-be" data models as well as data mapping and conversion approach. 
-Work closely with developers, onshore and offshore, and assist with technical design. 
-Assist with test effort.

 

 

Position # 4



Position: Business Analyst

Location: Hopkinton, MA

Duration: 5 Months

 

 

BA with Documentum project exp
Must be immediately available.



Description:
BTG Sr BA to work on the Global Public Sector Compliance Database. Candidate will define workflow and requirements for a Documentum-based product. 

- Strong potential to extend to successive phases of the project 

Mandatory: 

- Strength in Business Analysis, able to create Process Flows and requirements docs 
- Experience with Manufacturing Industry specific to Contract Management Process 
- Knowledge of Documentum Content Management 

Submissions: 

- LOCAL candidates only 
- Strong preference for people available now
