Job description:
This candidate will be a member of Platform Hosting Systems (PHS) database shared service team and will be responsible for managing Oracle shared service activities that include installing, maintaining and tuning the Oracle RAC clusters in the development and testing environment. This job requires excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Self-motivation and ability to learn quickly is essential.
Qualification:
Required skills: (MUST possess these required skills to be considered)
• Building and supporting Oracle 10g and 11g RAC
• Hands on experience with ASM
• Designing and sizing distributed database management systems
• Monitoring, analysis and tuning of Oracle databases to achieve optimum performance.
• Hands on experience with setup and maintaining Oracle Streams
• Hands on experience with database upgrades, cluster upgrades.
• Designed and build OEM grid control environment to manage databases
• Physical database maintenance and tuning.
• SQL database administration, Tuning, Management.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with Solaris and Linux operating systems
• Knowledge about Golden Gate replication
Knowledge of Veritas Clustering.

Oracle ASM
