Job Description:

Position Overview:

This position will have responsibility for helping to manage IT security for AT&T's Wi-Fi Services (AWS) division in an exciting, fast-paced, 24x7, environment.

 

This role is responsible for ensuring that AWS maintains a high level of security across its heterogeneous corporate IT infrastructure, including all Unix/Linux and Windows-based IT networks, servers, workstations, and applications.

 

Major Responsibilities/Duties:

Candidate will be responsible for the review and analysis of security requirements, development of security policies and procedures, and work with IT and other organizations to develop integrated plans to protect corporate computing assets. Responsibilities include researching, recommending, documenting, and coordinating implementation of policies, procedures, facilities, and systems to enhance security.

 

Facilitate compliance with company security policies, practices, and legal requirements as well as industry compliance frameworks such as PCI. Help manage incident response and remediation efforts for system and network attacks. Stay abreast of all industry network and security issues and ensure that all IT systems remain secure through internal patch/OS management processes and adherence to IT security policies. Also work directly with the Operations and Engineering teams to help improve the security of AWS's products and external customer-facing network.

 

Analyze and interpret security system log and alert data. Approve firewall and IT system security configurations. Help conduct vulnerability scans, security audits, and enterprise security assessments. Interact with all sections of AWS division as a consultant on anything security related.

Requirements for the Position

 

TO BE CONSIDERED SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ASSIGNEMTN, SUBMITTED CANDIDATES MUST HAVE:

•Minimum four years of network security experience in an enterprise environment

 

•Experience in defining, implementing, and enforcing enterprise-level security policies and business processes

 

•Knowledge of industry compliance frameworks such as PCI and best practices

 

•Experience interpreting vulnerability scans, security forensics, log analysis, and threat assessment

 

•Proven understanding of common system security attack vectors (and their remediation) such as DDOS, man in the middle, spoofing, TCP hijacking, DNS poisoning, buffer overflows, SYN flood, SQL injection, worms/trojans/bots, social engineering, etc…

 

• Unix and/or Linux system administration experience as well as a solid understanding of security in a Unix-based environment

 

• Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing, and switching as well as Wi-Fi security

 

• Knowledge of security in Windows Server and Desktop environments, Unix, Wi-Fi , as well as mobile device environments

 

•Experience with corporate-level virus, spam, and spyware prevention systems

 

•Experience in risk management and corporate threat assessment

 

•Incident response experience

 

•Excellent written and oral communications skills with demonstrated commitment to producing high quality documentation

 

•Ability to balance security vs the needs of the business and articulate why

 

•Strong time management skills and proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet all schedules

 

•Professional demeanor and strong work ethic and uncompromising integrity

 

•Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service

 

•Willingness to work some off-hours as necessary
