Job Description:
The client is looking for User Experience Developer for 6 months Contract in Austin, TX. The interview process would be Skype follows Telephonic round. This position works as part of the CV Austin development team dedicated to the development, implementation, innovation, and support of websites. A UX Developer will have to make informed decisions on implementation, investigate issues, and work within overall strategic direction supports properties. The ideal candidate has a background in front-end web development, interface development techniques (HTML, CSS, Javascript), and experience with various aspects of web production. This job will appeal to someone who is a high performing team player who takes initiative, can think both strategically and functionally, and can ensure quality on every project.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Visualize, create, organize and maintain user interfaces in HTML, JavaScript and CSS.
- Maintain and publish user-interface templates, content, and supporting code.
- Design and deploy multivariate user performance testing using Google Content Experiments (Google Website Optimizer).
- Provide leadership on usability and UX design considerations within the engineering team.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, architects, and other stakeholders in the product development process.
- Support the development process as necessary with feasibility assessments, requirements definition and functional prototyping.
- Ability and willingness to communicate with a wide range of project stakeholders; good judgment about when and where during the development process to initiate and/or continue communication.
- Ability to start the interface design process within Photoshop, and carry it forward to a browser compatible HTML/CSS document.
- Mastery of HTML, CSS3, JavaScript.
- Understanding of standard coding practices and design patterns in server-side web scripting (Ruby on Rails, PHP, Django, or equivalent).
- Independent technical judgment and orientation toward self-management.
- Familiarity with the process of testing, debugging, and proving quality of code. Basic familiarity with software support for debugging/QA processes.
- Basic familiarity with relational database architectures and SQL.
- Comfortable with document versioning in Git or Subversion.
- Ability to follow logical troubleshooting paths; commitment, and persistence in solving technical issues.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 4 years general technical experience; minimum of 2 years web development experience
- 1-3 years' experience with PHP, Ruby on Rails, or similar platform.
- 2-5 years' experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript (JQuery), XML
- Additional experience with web technologies such as Akamai, AWS, and usability and performance testing applications is helpful.
- Bachelor's degree required; computer science or similar discipline preferred, but not required.
