This position will provide web development support to the e-HR team and all applications within the responsibility of this group. Most of the 54 applications are custom developed in Microsoft technology (including .NET framework and SQL server). While providing production support, the Systems Developer will be engaged in several upgrade/enhancement efforts, using newer versions of .NET (v4.0) as well as software such as Sharepoint 2010. The Systems Developer will also participate in the planning, designing, installation and implementation of standard software as well as peripheral devises, and will be able to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, speed to market, reduce production support effort, and eliminate unnecessary activities

Duration: 11 months

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

The primary responsibilities for this Systems Developer fall in to the following categories:

·         Production Support – provide daily support for all e-HR applications, use Service Manager 7 and internal Task Manager systems to initiate effort and provide responses to issues. Analyze issue, recommend solution, code solution in development environment, plan and assist in executing testing of solution, obtain sign-off on solution and migrate solution to Production environment. Evaluate root cause of issues and make recommendations to eliminate cause, which can include revision to code, alternative processes or solutions. Provide support for infrastructure and maintenance of e-HR environments (development, pre-production, production)

·         System Enhancements -  support business partner's requirements for enhancements by documenting requirements, identifying appropriate solution options, engaging in discussions on recommended approach and then developing and testing the solution.

Project Development -  provide support to larger projects as outlined in the project plan, adhering to the standard software development lifecycle methodology as well as embracing the e-HR vision for speed to market with solutions and utilizing standard solutions when appropriate

 

SKILLS:

·         Technology:

o        Programming languages including VB.NET, C#, CSS, HTML, AJAX, Java/JavaScript, SQL, Stored Procedures, DTS packages

o        Sharepoint 2010; skills in the area of Sharepoint Development, Portals and Team Rooms

o        .Net Development Tools – .NET development components and with agile development methodology

o        SQL2008 databases – use of multiple databases and integration requirements of databases using shared components

o        Microsoft Office 2007; Advanced skills in PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Word
