Job Title: Senior Web Designer, Electronic Payment Solutions
Job Description
* Translate business requirements into system specifications
* Determine appropriate system architecture design to support system specifications for large scale E-Commerce application
* Manage the design, development, testing, and support of all aspects and components of the E-Commerce systems
* Participate as a *hands-on* ASP.NET web developer to supplement team activities and act as a senior designer and developer
Major Responsibilities and Competencies:
* E-Commerce System Design and Development Skills for Microsoft including Windows, IIS, SQL Server, ASP.NET, etc.
o Database design, development, and support
§ Logical vs. physical data base design in a Microsoft SQL Server environment
§ Database monitoring and tuning, including index optimization
o Front end (i.e., client-side) design and development in support of both web and mobile interfaces
§ HTML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript, XSL, Xpath, DOM, and multiple browser development and best practices
§ Understanding of User Experience design with ability to coordinate, direct, and assist as needed with user experience and graphic designers
o Back end web design and development
§ Strong ASP.NET architecture design and development
§ Deep knowledge of the .NET 3.5/4.0 Framework, including Visual Studio 2010, ASP.NET, AJAX and Web Services
§ Experience with ADO.NET for data access and management
o Interface design, development, and support
§ Interfaces with back end fulfillment and ERP systems using web services, XML import/export, and traditional file transfer methods
§ Interfaces with content management and related systems
o Infrastructure operations
§ Understanding of hardware, system software, and network configuration and design
§ Performance monitoring strategies and tools
o Experience in the design and implementation of eCommerce web based solutions within an type development environment
§ Experience integrating payment gateways and credit card processing such as First Data Payment Gateway is a plus
§ Experience developing PCI compliant systems and appreciation of relevant security and encryption standards a plus
General Requirements:
- BS/?MS in Computer Science or related field/?degree, and/?or equivalent work experience
- Six or more years of application architecture and/or product development experience
- Five or more years of experience in architecting complex applications on web.
- Five years or more of experience with Microsoft web application development ASP.?NET, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Fluency in Java, Visual Studio, Visual Basic
- Ability to handle periodic after-hours /? weekend support calls
- Experience in a high-volume transactional or critical production service environment is preferred
- English language fluency
- Good communication skills to communicate with customers, support personnel, application development personnel and management
- Good analytical and problem solving skills for design, coordination and testing of applications
- Good interpersonal skills for communicating with business unit personnel, customers and vendors
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work with relational databases
