DUTIES
The Consultant shall perform the following duties:
•Interview end-users and gather new or additional application requirements. Document requirements and discuss them with the client management.
•Develop and/or enhance applications using the following languages, tools and/or techniques: ColdFusion, HTML, C#, ASP.NET, AJAX, SQL, PL/SQL, TSQL, Java, JavaScript, JQuery, MonoTouch, Objective-C, Android, Active Directory/LDAP and XML.
•Design, document, create, and optimize database schemas.
•Tune queries, stored procedures, and functions to improve performance.
•Analyze, test, and perform maintenance support tasks of applications such as fixing bugs and errors, and developing workarounds.
•Perform general technical troubleshooting and provide best practice recommendations to management.
•Perform all roles of an IT software lead programmer and developer.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
The Consultant must meet all of the following minimum requirements:
1. A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
2. Three (3) years experience within the last five (5) years programming and developing using ASP.NET versions 2.0 and above in C#. One (1) to two (2) years experience with VB.NET, ColdFusion, Java, C++, C, or Objective-C, may be substituted for one (1) to two (2) years of the three (3) years of required experience above.
3. Three (3) years experience within the last five (5) years programming and developing using all of the following:
a.Ajax - using Microsoft Ajax control toolkit, JQuery or other common framework
b.Dynamic creation of controls at run time
c.Preventative measures to protect against cross-site scripting or SQL injection attacks
4. Three (3) years experience within the last five (5) years programming and developing using any three (3) of the following:
a.Web Services, WCF, or REST in an application
b.XSLTs for applications
c.Silverlight
d.Asynchronous coding using threads or C# asynchronous delegates
e.Cryptographic algorithms in an application excluding SSL
f.Android or iPhone applications and deploying applications for public use.
g.Custom HTTP handlers
h.Precompiled ASP.NET controls
i.Windows Service in .NET
j..NET reflection to create objects and access their methods or properties
5. Three (3) years experience within the last five (5) years designing and normalizing Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server databases. Experience must include:
a.Writing queries that involve at least three levels of nested subqueries
b.Writing stored triggers, procedures, or functions
c.Used performance tuning techniques such as indexes and materialized views
d.Using at least two (2) of the following:
•Hierarchical queries
•Analytic functions
•Table functions in Oracle
•CLR integration in SQL Server to run .NET code inside the database
•Java code inside Oracle
•Performance profiling/tuning tools
•Integrated a database search engine such as SQL Server full text search into an application
