pay rate: $60/hr
The developer should be familiar with enterprise level systems development, the entire software lifecycle and a good understanding of enterprise level design and architecture. The application technology stack includes a GWT/GXT/mvp4G browser UI, Spring, Hibernate, JPA, and Oracle 11g. This is a great development team that works well together. Team dynamics are critical to the successful applicant.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
User interface design and development
· Utilizing GWT, GXT and mvp4G, develop user interfaces that reflect a strong understanding of user experience design/usability concepts to support complex admissions work processes and tasks.
· Work with users, management, and developers to design and develop high quality user interfaces and user experiences that support existing and future admissions processes
· Design for clean, supportable and reusable UI components.
· Participate in requirements, design, and testing efforts.
· Document all work in accordance with team developed standards
Development process and standards
· Support and implement team efforts for continuous development improvement, including process definition and implementation.
· Ensure quality and security of all development efforts.
· Support QA and production/deployment team efforts to ensure successful code delivery, configuration/release management, and deployment.
Application development
· Design and develop server components for the admissions system utilizing the spring framework, hibernate, JPA, and Oracle.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Advanced Java programming knowledge to include Java frameworks such as GWT/GXT or comparable UI frameworks, Spring, JPA, and Hibernate.
· Advanced knowledge of applications development and current development practices supporting both large and small applications.
· Advanced skills in Application design, modification and implementation.
· Communication - must be able to communicate technical information clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
· Self motivated.
· Ability to be an individual contributor as well as team player.
· A strong understanding of dependency injection in spring, spring batch, and spring security is helpful.
